Stripping off for charity seems to be all the rage at the moment, and who are we to complain, when you get the likes of a whole team of hunky and chunky rugby lads in the buff for your monthly viewing pleasure? If fit men with big guns does it for you, and you want to feel good about ogling them, then take a look at the Rugby For Heroes 2013 Calender. It’s the ideal way to get your fix of big and butch guys, and raise money for a good cause.
The calendar features a whole host of international rugby players, from Ugo Monye, Paul Hodgson, Dominic Woldouck, Tom Croft and Ryan Lamb and was launched today by none other than Mike Tindall, MBE and husband of Zara Philips. Tindall is the patron of the charity and this calendar is a first in that it comes with Blippar technology, (an augmented-reality application) which allows all smartphone users to have their picture taken with players. The Blippar technology uses the cameras in smartphones and tablets to identify images that are ‘blippable,’ and then gives the user interactive options such as games or 3-D images.
The co-founder and CMO of the company, Jess Butcher, said: “This is such a great cause for us to be involved with and we really hope people enjoy the addition of Blippar this year. The men and women look amazing on every page, so we’re expecting to see lots of people posting photos of them and their favourite player or model on social media sites.”
The calendar costs £9.99 and is available from the Rugby for Heroes website or through Amazon. Rugby For Heroes is dedicated to raising money, and is in partnership with REMOUNT. Their aim is to get military servicemen and women back into civilian life and they help with that sometimes difficult transition. This is the calendar’s second year of publication and we can see that the lads have taken inspiration from the Royal Marines Go Commando Calendar we featured last week.
And not forgetting the men, there is also a ladies Rugby for Heroes Calendar out especially for them.
