Top Ten Mascaras 2013

Have you noticed that adverts for mascaras no longer use digitally enhanced images or lash inserts? Do you think that we can now start believing what we see on magazines and the TV, and that beauty companies are being more honest about what their products can actually do? Let’s hope so, but in the meantime, here are our list of top ten mascaras; we’ll compare prices, claims and see what’s different about them.

1. Dior Diorshow New Look – £23

Dior Diorshow New Look

The Diorshow New Look mascara is not just a mascara, it has a patented lash Multiplier™ serum treatment formula that thickens, separates and extends each individual eyelash for a multiple lash effect. The treatment also repairs your lashes for a full lash look.

3. L’Oreal Flash Lash Flutter – £10.99

What we would call a ‘bog standard mascara’, the difference here is the brush. It is an innovative new style of mascara wand that is double winged, hence the adverts featuring butterflies, L’Oreal Paris False Lash Flutter Mascara aims to extend those difficult to reach lashes at the outer eyes with this new brush.

Why it’s different: L’Oreal’s Cocoon fibres lengthen the look of lashes towards the outer eye.
