Top New Fragrances for 2012

It’s the start of the New Year and a new you and for some people this means making new years resolutions, spring cleaning their homes, or it could be something as simple as changing their perfume or signature scent. Luckily for us, the top perfume houses have released some beautiful, original new and gorgeous fragrances which are ideal if you still want to stay with a particular brand, but just want a bit of an updated scent. Check out these brand new smellies from our favourite fashion and perfume houses and see which one you will change to this year.

Oscar de la Renta ‘Live in Love – £39

‘This is about how you embrace life — you live in love. It’s not a person, it’s loving life, it’s loving the life you live, what you give, what you have received.’ Live in Love is a green floral developed by perfumers Jean Marc Chaillan and Carlos Benaïm. Notes include bergamot, ginger orchid, hyacinth, muguet, galbanum, jasmine Sambac, orange blossom, rose, white woods, musk, amber, sandalwood and cedar. Oscar de la Renta Live in Love will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum from 2 February 2012. Buy from Harrods.

Kylie Minogue ‘Dazzling Darling – £20.38 30ml

Deliciously light and captivating, Dazzling Darling is built around the delicate, glittering Orris as an ode to Kylie’s luminous beauty. The overall experience of delicate femininity and joyful sophistication is pure Kylie. The notes include rose, orris, passion-flower, pink pepper, acai berries, violet, musk, cashmeran and sandalwood. Kylie Minogue Dazzling Darling is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Kate Moss ‘Lilabelle’ – £9.99 30ml

A new floral fragrance for young girls named after her daughter, Lila Grace. For young girls becoming women and women who want to be young girls! Playfully sophisticated and delicately loud. The Lilabelle fragrance is a floral woody musk. It is sensual, enveloping, voluptuous, feminine but fresh and sparkling with a very audacious character. The notes include mandarin, osmanthus, freesia, lily, night-blooming jasmine, plumeria, sandalwood, amber and heliotrope. Benefit ‘Ring My Bella’ – €36 30ml

Benefit has launched a new fragrance in the Crescent Row collection, Ring My Bella. Like their previous products in the 2009 series, Laugh With Me Lee Lee, Something About Sofia and My Place or Yours Gina and 2010′s Garden of Good & Eva, Lookin to Rock Rita and So Hooked on Carmella, the new fragrance is based on a fictional character; in this case, she is someone who has just opened a lingerie shop in the neighborhood. Ring My Bella is a fruity floral; notes include rose, lily, jasmine, peony, patchouli, vanilla and white musk. Available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette. So far it is only available at Sephora in France, but is expected to launch elsewhere this summer.

Vivienne Westwood ‘Cheeky Alice’ – £53 75ml

Desscribed as the ‘sexier older sister’ to last year’s Naughty Alice fragrance for women. At the heart of this cheeky and delightful fragrance is a fresh and floral bouquet that perfectly captures Alice’s femininity and impertinence.
