Well, we are all sat here in the Shoppersbase office, looking out of the window at the pouring rain. Which gave us an idea, why not do an article on the best wellies for women?
I know my favourites already, a pair of Hunters I have owned for the last five years that are as comfortable now as the day I bought them. But Hunters are pretty expensive, so are there any bargains out there that are just as good?
We think so and here are our top ten:Hunter Women’s Original Refined Gloss Wellington Boots – £105
If you can afford it, get a pair of Hunters. They fit like a glove and last for ever. I love this new style, a more slim line version of their original boot and in a gloss finish. I wish I’d waited to buy these! Comes in navy, black, dark olive (featured) and grey.
Tottie Wharfedale Printed Wellingtons – £16.99
Combine your love of horses and wellies with this pair from Tottie, in bright pink and French Navy. Comes with an adjustable side buckle and a steel shank for extra durability.
From: gooutdoors.co.ukJoules FIELD WELLIES – £39.95

A cool city vibe with a high-polish and gorgeous mustard stripe detailing down the back. Oh and look out for their regular 25% off weekends where you can snap up a bargain.
Barbour Womens Beagle Welly Olive – £30.00
If you prefer more subtle than statement then how about these boots from Barbour? They are a standard wellington green colour but have a cute little tartan detailing in the lining which just shows on the outside on the adjustment strap. Features a cushioned insole and a sturdy non-slip textured rubber sole, so if you do venture out into the snow you won’t be sliding about all over the place!
PETER STORM Women’s Gusseted Trim Wellies Long – £18
Great for festivals, these wellies will certainly stand out but they are not just a pretty pair. Slightly longer than normal with an adjustable top, they are built for maximum use as they are made from 100% durable rubber. Comes with a textured sole which might be handy if you’re heading off to Glastonbury!
UGG Reignfall Liberty Wellington Boots – Was £129.99 now £90.99
If you are thinking ‘Wow’, these are a bit pretty, there’s a reason for that. The gorgeous flower print is actually one of the heritage prints from Liberty of London. Not only that but it has been printed on Liberty’s unique Tana Lawn cotton. These boots are not just beautiful however, they are 100% waterproof and come with a comfortable inner lining.
Hi Gear Women’s Stripe Welly – £16
We think these wellies have a real nautical feel about them, what with the stripes and the colouring. They’re also a little bit French. Whatever they are to you, they are certainly fun and for the price, we can’t complain.
Rain Floral Women’s Wellies – £29.99
Aren’t these cute? They have a high-gloss finish and a kind of sheer design which is complimented by the florals of poppies, daisies and leaves. They are not just a fun pair however, as they’re completely waterproof and will stand up to sustained use, so they are great for long walks, gardening or taking with you to festivals.
Joules EVEDON Premium Wellies – £79.95
If you are heading off somewhere posh and it’s likely to be a muddy affair underfoot, these wellies will certainly stand out in a crowd. Luxurious ribbon detailing at the back in bright red which contrasts nicely with the French Navy and gold hardware.

These have to be the crème de la crème of wellington boots. They combine comfort with pure class and every attention to detail has been met. Inside there’s a Gore-Tex lining which is breathable and water-proof, the actual boots are made from a combination of full grain and nubuck leather, the style is slim-fitting with a slight pointed toe and a zip up the side.
