10 Best Vacuum Cleaners of 2017

Having two dogs that shed buckets I am always on the lookout for a good vacuum cleaner. One that not only has great suction but is not too heavy and has a couple of accessories, such as hoses and brushes.

Over the years I have purchased several different vacuum cleaners and found that price does not always dictate good quality.

There are a few things you should be aware of before forking out. First you need to decide whether you want an upright or cylinder. I’ve had both and an upright is much less hard work as you just push it around the carpet. Cylinders you have to have more strength and actually ‘work’ the carpet to get the debris off.

Cylinders are easier to manoeuvre however, and can get into tighter spots. They also tend to be lighter than uprights and take up less space to store.

As for opting whether to go bag-less or not, I would always recommend bag-less. You get better suction without a bag and there’s the added expense of purchasing extra bags.
