One of the only good things about going back to school is the chance to get a new school bag. From ruck sacks to backpacks, there is a huge range available these days to suit all kinds of tastes and budgets.
We’ve picked ten of the best that should appeal to all ages:Bixbee Flyers – Sparkalicious Ruby Raspberry Butterflyer – £24.95
Why walk to school when you could fly on butterfly wings? This backpack allows you to do just that! The Sparkalicious Butterflyers come in several designs, mostly pink we have to say, but some have LED wings! This one doesn’t, but it is just as dazzling. Comes with one main compartment and two interior slip pockets. Outside are four pockets plus an ID holder under the flap.

Great backpack for older girls here from Accessorize that features loads of cool patches including hearts and stars, milk shakes, coffee cups, ring doughnuts and diamonds and red lips. There’s also badge charms that include a heart and a star and inside has a large, zipped compartment with three exterior pockets. Includes adjustable shoulder straps.
Cath Kidston Ballerina Mini Rucksack for Kids – £16.00
Beautiful pink rucksack with prints of ballerinas in all sorts of dancing poses. Bear in mind this is a mini rucksack so it is probably best for nursery or preschool and probably won’t fit a lunchbox in it, but it was so pretty we had to feature it.

Mi-Pac Mini Denim Patch Backpack – £29.50
Not every young girl want pink ponies on their school bag, I certainly wouldn’t have! This is a very cool backpack for the tomboy girl who doesn’t like girlie things. Mi-Pac are a well-known brand that manufacture good quality bags for children. This one has a big pocket in the front and a nice sized central compartment.
