Strictly Come Dancing 2012 Christmas Special Celebrities revealed

If you are already worrying about what you will do when the current series of this years Strictly Come Dancing finishes in four weeks time, fear not as we can reveal the line up for the annual Christmas Show has just been announced. The six celebrities taking part in this years festive dance off programme are ex Bolton Wanderers football star Fabrice Muamba (he who suffered a massive cardiac arrest on the pitch and has since had a miraculous recovery), esteemed actress and widow of John Thaw – Sheila Hancock, JLS’s Jonathan “JB” Gill, one half of Cannon and Ball – comedian and actor Bobby Ball, comedienne Katy Brand and Blue Peters’ intrepid TV presenter Helen Skelton.

And if you think that’s not enough, the show will also welcome back nine contestants from the previous series – dubbed the The Strictly Allstars – who will all take part in a huge group dance spectacular. The Allstars include Rachel Stevens, Chelsee Healey, Natasha Kaplinsky, Kelly Brook, Chris Hollins, Tom Chambers and Colin Jackson. And even better, news is just in that after their fantastic performances for Children In Need, Strictly favourites Ann Widdecombe and Russell Grant will also perform in the show.

If that wasn’t enough, the producers have only gone and booked Rod Stewart who will undoubtably steal the show as he sings his version of Let it Snow.

Here are the Christmas celebrities and their Strictly professional dancers:

Bobby Ball & Katya Virshilas

Katy Brand & Anton du Beke

JB Gill & Ola Jordan

Sheila Hancock & Ian Waite

Fabrice Muamba & Aliona Vilani

Helen Skelton & Artem Chigvintsev

2005 runner-up Colin Jackson dancing with Erin Boag

Our favourite presenters Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will be on hand to host, and judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will provide their comments. But it will be the studio audience in this show who’ll decide who takes home the title of Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Champions 2012.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special takes place on Christmas Day on BBC One and BBC One HD.
