She is renowned for her outrageous make-up and stage costumes, so it is perhaps not surprising that the ‘Hot Right Now’ singer – Rita Ora has been chosen to create a brand new range of cosmetics for Rimmel.
The 22 year-old singer always sports a stand-out style, and last night was no different, as she rocked up to promote her new venture at the London Film Museum, to celebrate Rimmel’s 180 Years Of Cool anniversary party. Wearing an all over tartan print suit designed by Moschino, Rita teamed her androgynous look with pillar box red statement lipstick and thick black eye-liner.
Taking to Twitter to let her followers know exactly what was going on, Rita tweeted: ‘Off to Rimmel! #Moschino suits this occasion perfectly! #LDN.’
She made the appearance at the museum after she had unveiled her new range for Rimmel at The Savoy Hotel. The Queen of Cool wore a pink graffiti style jacket with black leather cut out boots to promote her new range, which is said to be launched in February 2014.
Rita was joined at the launch party by models Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger and after she had performed at the event, she spent the rest of the night hanging out with her new chums.
It is thought that Rita’s new make-up collection will include lip crayons and nail varnishes, as the singer herself posted up a photograph during the photocall, with the caption: ‘My favourite think chewing as a kid…’Crayons’ Now I’ve made my lipstick just like a crayon but…’
Rita Ora follows the footsteps of Kate Moss, who is often seen advising potential customers to ‘Get The London Look’. The make-up collection will feature a range of limited-edition lip and nail shades, and if Rita’s look is anything to go by, we can expect bold statement colours with dramatic hues for Spring.
So will Rita’s range of cosmetics be as successful as Kate’s? We think so as it will definitely appeal to a younger market, who want to stand out from the crowd with a strong look.
And as Rita is not one to shy away from a dramatic style, we predict this collection is going out be fun, quirky and unique.
The singer said, of her new collaboration: “I am absolutely obsessed with makeup and being adventurous with colors, so when I was given the chance to make my collection with Rimmel, it was like a dream come true!”
