‘Good feels so bad and bad feels so good’ is the catch line that sums up Reb’l Fleur, the new fragrance from Barbados born singer Rihanna. And she was in the UK yesterday to promote her scent at House of Fraser wearing a beautifully put together turquoise ensemble that stole the show.
The perfume was created with the help of Caroline Sabas and Marypierre Julien of Givauden but with much of Rihanna’s input.
The fragrance features an intense hit of fruits, plump peaches, red berries, juicy purple plums, over floral notes of tuberose, violet and hibiscus, with a splash of tropical coconut water and finishes with warm musky tones of vanilla and patchouli.
The name of the fragrance was inspired by Rihanna’s grandmother. “My grandmother in Barbados used to call me her Rebel Flower, over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own.
But I wanted…something that said ‘Rihanna was here.’ Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory.”
Rihanna rocked up to her promotion for her new fragrance at House of Fraser in London on August 19th in a feathered top by Antonio Berardi Resort from his 2012 collection and matched this with a turquoise pair of wide legged cropped trousers.
Her signature red hair was dyed a chestnut-brown and styled in voluminous curls, side swept across her face. She wore statement jewellery by our very own British designer Susan Caplan and shoes were by Christian Louboutin. Reb’l Fleur is available from www.amazon.co.uk from £16.99 for a 30 ml bottle.
