She so impressed the bigwigs behind the dieting company that they decided to make her their latest celebrity ambassador. Showing off her fabulous figure in a stunning red dress, after she revealed she had lost an incredible 14.5lbs since August. In a promotional campaign interview, mother of two Patsy said: “I’ve got my sparkle back!” She admitted that she had tried other diets but that Weight Watchers was the only one that worked for her: “I have struggled with my weight for the last 14 years and tried every fad diet there is. Weight Watchers is the only thing that works and I feel better than ever.”

And the diet plan be surely be working a treat as Patsy figures she is the lightest she has been since the age of 30. The campaign for Weight Watchers will be stepped up after Christmas on Boxing Day, traditionally a day when we all feel we have eaten a little too much from the day before.

Patsy took part in series 7 of Strictly Come Dancing shortly after she split from her husband Jeremy Healy. Although she lost a lot of weight through her dancing rehearsals, she was not that confident on the dance floor. She said in a previous interview: “I wouldn’t say I was depressed when I went in, it was more a confidence issue.” She added: “But yes, I’d had a really bad year. I had gone up to 11 stone – emotional weight, I think they call it. Going into that show was validation, in a way.”

Patsy is not the only celebrity that has fronted a campaign for Weight Watchers; she now joins the likes of MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace, and news presenter Penny Haslam. The Master Chef foodie Greg lost a stone in just 12 weeks, which prompted Weight Watchers to comment: “Gregg is living proof that anything can be achieved if you put your mind to it. He is the perfect man for the job. Everyone here is absolutely delighted.”
