If you have been suffering withdrawal symptoms since Sam won Big Brother 2013, then fear not, as Celebrity Big Brother began tonight, with a whole new batch of stars.
First in was the dance sensation Louie Spence, wearing a show stopping purple sequined sparkling jacket. Louie pirouetted his way down the catwalk into the Big Brother House, and revealed that as he was the chief choreographed to The Spice Girls, one of his best chums is Emma Bunton. The ex Pineapple Dance Studio star has danced with A Listers such as Witney Houston and Tina Turner, but is looking forward rearranging the sofas and sleeping in his tight boxers.
Second in was Lauren Harries, a child prodigy who first appeared on the Terry Wogan show, talking about antiques. He appeared also on Oprah Winfrey, then at the age of 22 had a sex change and says she has lived happily as a woman since. She can be quite confrontational but will not gossip. Says she is like Margaret Thatcher but is more beautiful and will bring sex appeal into the house. She is single and ready to mingle!
Third in was model Sophie Anderton, who has modeled since the age of 14, appearing on more than 200 magazines, including Vogue, Elle and GQ. Sophie had a drug addiction and at one point was taking 8grms of cocaine at day. Thankfully she has kicked the habit and wants to show the world she is not a typical stuck up model, but down to earth. Sophie suffers from OCD and is not a fan of BO.
These first three housemates were elected to live in a secret Celebrity Big Brother ‘Cult of Celebrity’ temple house, where they have all the power and the fate of the rest of the housemates lies with them.
Next in were Coronation Street on screen couple Bruce Jones and Vicky Entwhistle, who played Les and Janice Battersby. They entered as a couple but will be separate as far as nominations are concerned. Bruce said that he hates the tabloids as he suffered from depression a few years ago, but he is fine now. Since Corrie Vicky has starred in productions of Les Miserables. She said that she was scared of entering the house but Bruce was looking forward to it.
After the Battersbys came American reality star Courtney Stodden who has the dubious claim to fame of marrying 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison in 2011 when she was only 16. The glamorous star got a few boos as she entered the house, but says she loves the attention of the paparazzi, and that people are obsessed with her. She owns over 200 pairs of shoes and is a vegetarian.
Then we had a ex band member from 5ive called Abz, he was the in group which was managed by Simon Cowell, and said he was very annoyed when they disbanded, as he wanted to carry on. He spent all his money on sex, drugs and rock’n’roll, but now prefers gardening, and even has a gardening mat. He lives with his auntie but wants the money from appearing to get his own place.
Ireland’s reality star Danielle Marr was next in. She appeared on the TV series Dublin Wives, but said that she was the only one who was real and hardworking, as the others were all bankrolled by their husbands. She runs a successful botox clinic in Dublin and is an alpha female.
Saved by the Bell star Screech was in next, the US actor Dustin Diamond, looking rather different from what we remember him as. The actor got a great reception as he entered the house, saying that he hadn’t stayed in touch with his other cast members as they were all 14-15 years and he was only 11 when they appeared in the show. His claim to fame is that he stayed in the PlayBoy mansion when he was only 12!
Saying she wanted to cry as she entered the house was reality star Charlotte Crosby, from Geordie Shore, who has a crazy lifestyle and says she is mischievous and might cause trouble in the house. Her best moment on TV was when she attempted to have sex with Gary on Geordie Shore and she let one out and weed at the same time. She says that we’ve all done it!
Next in was another reality TV star, this time from TOWIE, Mario Falcone, who says that his hair is as well known as he is. Currently 100% single, he says he is open to romance but not looking for it. A bit of a ladies man, he is really a mummies boy but says his ideal woman would be someone like Megan Fox.
Our favourite outspoken Loose Woman was up next, the lovely Carol McGiffin, famously married to DJ Chris Evans but she prefers not to talk about it. She is now happily engaged to Mark who is 22 years younger than her, but she hates cliches like toyboys and cougars.
Finally, in came Big Ron, Ron Atkinson, the famous football manager who managed teams such as West Bromich Albion, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and of course, Manchester United. Ron said he likes the finer things in life like clothes and cars, hence his nickname, but he hates stupid people, they irritate him. He has no game plan and will just see what happens.
So that is the house for this year, what do you think?
