Madonna Launches Truth or Dare Shoe Collection

If Madonna ever decides to give up singing, she can always go into shoe design as her second career, judging by the sales of her new shoe collection at Selfridges. Her latest foray into footwear design is proving to be a huge success, as her pop up shop is reporting that the Truth or Dare collection is the most successful shoe collection ever to be placed in the store. If you have loved Madonna’s tours, her costumes and outfits, and especially her footwear, you’ll be glad to know that she had modelled and been inspired by the many shoes she wore whilst she was on tour. Her footwear collection features dramatic studded designs predominantly in black, with platform pumps and sexy court shoes, thigh length leather boots and gold and glossy ballet pumps and stiletto heels. Any many of the shoes are available in different colours.

A spokesperson for Selfridges called Madonna’s Truth or Dare shoe collection the ‘most commercially successful’ pop-up this year, and went on to say that the sexy 50 year old mother of two has the most successful celebrity endorsement Selfridges has ever hosted. Madonna did have some help with the actual designing however; her long time stylist Arianne Philips collaborated with her on the Truth or Dare range. Madonna’s shoe collection is said to be so successful that over half the range has sold out already!

The Buying Manager for shoes at Selfridges, Helen Attwood said at the launch of the Truth or Dare pop up shop, “We’re thrilled to launch this collection before anywhere else in the world – the line offers the perfect mix of commerciality, diversity and of course, Madonna’s stardust! It’s a great fit for Selfridges.” If you want to pick up an iconic pair of shoes, designed from the Queen of Pop, you’ll have to hurry, as Madonna’s Truth Or Dare collection is only available from August until 1 September and prices range from £80 to £480 at Selfridges. For our US friends, you can get hold of Madonna’s shoe collection at Macy’s and Nordstrom. The line of shoes is a part of MG Icon.
