UP fitness wristband 2011 Model
This is a new revamped version of the 2011 UP fitness wristband model that was withdrawn from the market after several faults were discovered. The UP fitness wristband allows you to track how many hours you have slept for, what calories you have burned, log in your moods and discover connections that affect how you feel. It calculates calories burned based on your age, gender, height and weight, along with activity intensity and duration. It reminds you to move when you’ve been inactive for too long and can even wake you up when it considers that you have had enough sleep.
UP fitness wristband features
And that’s not all. You can scan the barcodes of any ready meal and the UP fitness wristband will access a database of food products and give you a detailed list of the calories, fat and sugar content etc
The sleep feature is particularly impressive. Just sync the UP fitness wristband with your smartphone in the morning and you receive data of how you slept in the previous night, including whether you woke up during the night and how long you slept in light or deep sleep states. Set the alarm to wake you in the optimum time during light sleep, so if you are in a deep sleep it will allow you to sleep on.
There is also a power nap feature which you can set without the app and it will automatically set the right time for you to nap, which is based on your recent sleep data.
UP fitness wristband Technology
Using cutting-edge MotionX technology, the UP fitness wristband can track any activity over any terrain, and activity conditions which will then influence the specific calculations. There is also a built-in calibration feature to make Up Jawbone even more accurate for you.
And you can also log in the duration and effort level of a variety of different workout types, so you can estimate the caloric burn for non-step-based activities. There is also a Stopwatch mode that lets you “tag” the start and end of your activity so that you can enter the details of your workout.
The UP fitness wristband does not use your heart rate to track your movement during the day, it uses a precision motion sensor and you can also enter your effort level for specific workouts you log in the app.
The UP fitness wristband costs £99.99 and is available from jawbone.com and other authorised stores. The app is available from itunes.apple.com
