During the stabilization and consolidation phase, the dieter can eat the food that he or she enjoys which make the diet easier to follow and maintain. To maintain the whole diet process, one should only eat high protein foods one day each week.

However, there are people who do not find this diet very effective because of some side effects that it can give. According to some, this diet can make a person constipated. According to Dr. Dukan, one can resolve the problem by eating a lot of oat bran and drinking lots of water during the attack phase. This will add more fiber to your system thus making your bowel regular again. Dukan diet will not just let you lose weight, it can also save you from various health problems brought about by morbid obesity.
