Things happen so fast nowadays, and with hordes of technies looking for increasingly fun, creative and useful (well… Sometimes!) ways of using their iPhones, you won’t be surprised to find that some of the gadgets they come up with are rather outlandish. I went fishing around for some, and found some stonkers… So come along on a magical voyage to find some of the more out-there iPhone gadgets on the market today. Who knows – you might find something you could use!
As far as “out there” goes, I bet you’ve never considered using your iPhone as a microscope. Have you? For thirty pounds, you can do! A little clip-on accessory for your iPhone allows you to use it as a microscope, letting you get close-up views of every- and anything you can think of. With three built-in LEDs, you don’t need to worry about lighting, and the required batteries are included. To top it all off, it’s perfectly sized to fit in your pocket. Think you have no use for it? Do you do any wargaming? It’s ideal for model-building and –painting. What more could you want? I think it’s safe to say you can’t ask for much more in a world that contains a microscope attachment for a phone!
Remember the Etch-a-Sketch? I was really fond of it and spent a lot of time with one on my knees. Now you can make your iPhone look like it – and protect it from impact at the same time! This has to be one of the more unusual iPhone cases you can find, and for good reason. Complete with little white buttons, this case makes your iPhone look like a little Etch-a-Sketch but leaves all your important buttons, the screen and every port free so you can still use your iPhone just as well as you could before. Made of sturdy plastic, the case protects your phone from impacts and makes it look adorably retro, all for only £25! The only downside is that it doesn’t magically give your phone Etch-a-Sketch functionality.
And finally, a gadget that almost anyone can enjoy. For a frankly shocking £25, you can buy a tripod and lens for your iPhone camera allowing you more zooming power for it. As we all know, the camera is actually surprisingly good for a telephone one, but the zoom is far from great. That can now be remedied, with a tailor-made telephoto lens and tripod set allowing you to make the most of it. If you’re anything like me, then your only frustration with the iPhone’s camera is that it doesn’t perform great at a distance… And I’ll definitely be getting this gadget forthwith!
Part of the pleasure of having an iPhone, in my opinion, is the wide array of gadgets you can get for it. If you dig a little deeper, you can find something for – almost literally – absolutely anyone. The sky really does seem to be the limit!
