She won our hearts as the nicest camp mate on the reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’, but the former Pussycat Doll singer isn’t wearing camping gear today. Ashley Roberts, who has recently turned her hand to presenting, has been announced as the new face of glamorous label Key Fashion. And the singering star not only models the collection of dresses for the label, she actually had a hand in designing them.
The 32 year-old former singer has created a selection of no less than 37 glamorous dresses, which include floor length gowns, cocktail and prom dresses.
Ashley, who is originally from Arizona, told the MailOnline about her designing experience: “It is all so exciting. The dresses are amazing, they have been designed for every kind of girl and for any event; there’s a bit of everything.”
The dresses cost between a very reasonable £80-£300, and what Ashley loves about the range of dresses from Key Fashion is that there is a dress for every situation you can think of, and all the pieces have been made using the best quality fabrics and given extra embellishments for a bit of sparkle.
Ashley said: “Whether it’s for an event, a date or a dance, girls need a dress for every occasion and I love glamorous styles so I that’s why I decided to launch this collection.”
And the singer was happy to be photographed wearing every single one of the 37 dresses in the collection, maybe due to the fact that renowned photographer Dan Kennedy was behind the camera on the shoot.
Ashley even wore one of the dresses at the launch event, citing the Sovereign as her favourite, alongside the Moon and Secret dress. So might we see our favourite Pussycat Doll straying back into the fashion design world in the near future?: “The best thing about working in fashion is that it is fun, creative and a whole new venture and chapter in my life.”
And the generous singer is even gifting some of the dresses to her celebrity chums, and says that she would love to see British model Kate Moss rocking up in one of her creations: “I am going to shoot for the stars and say Kate Moss. I have grown up watching her style evolve, she is my number one, my go-to girl.”
Other style icons the blonde bombshell admires are Nicole Ritchie and Kate Bosworth for their ‘funky, sophisticated and edgy’ style.
But the UK’s favourite American export is keeping herself busy, as she says: “I have been so busy but it’s so much fun. I have just finished my Garnier campaign, I am working on new music and I will be presenting for the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here segment on This Morning. I am trying to hone down the business side of stuff.”
And her advice for us fashionistas? Ashley says: “Have fun with it, there’s no rules. Wear what makes you feel funky and confident.”
