Now I don’t usually eat breakfast; for a start it’s too early in the morning for me and I very often don’t have the time to make anything so it’s normally a quick cup or tea and out the door. But a friend introduced me to these amazing soft pitta style breakfast breads made by Mission Deli and now I can’t eat anything else! They are so flavoursome, made with totally the best natural ingredients with no additives or artificial flavourings and they are quick and easy to prepare. You can just bung them in the toaster while you are getting ready, once they have toasted you then split them as I do, fill them up with a little butter, and off you go! As they look like pitta breads, you can easily carry them with you if you are in a rush (or take them on the bus or in a car!) you can spread honey, jam or even peanut butter inside, whatever takes your fancy but to be honest, they are so tasty, just a bit of butter does it for me. And you can eat them hot or cold. I like them as a treat when I come home from work and there’s nothing in the house to eat, I have to take the dog out for a walk, they are so easy just to grab one and take with me to munch along the walk. And best of all they now come in three different flavours, so you can pick and swap about when you do eventually get bored, but at present, I have been eating the cranberry and orange ones now for over a month!
Here are the three flavours:
Cranberry & Orange Breakfast Bread

Mixed Berry and Seed Breakfast Bread
Our Mixed Berry and Seed Breakfast Bread has blueberries and cranberries for a delicious fruity taste and also pumpkin and sunflower seeds which are a rich source of protein and fibre. They are a delicious option for breakfast and also make a tasty daytime snack.
Raisin and Honey Breakfast Bread
A delicious way to liven up breakfast, have them on their own or with honey, jam or yoghurt our new Raisin and Honey Breakfast Bread is full of juicy raisins and make a tasty alternative to toast.
What with breakfast supposedly being the most important meal of the day, there is a great amount of competition for this sector of the market and many companies are spending a huge amount of money trying to come up with innovative ideas to get people to eat their products for breakfast on a regular basis. Ian Job, Mission Foods’ European Marketing Director, commented: “Mission has a reputation for quality and versatility which is why we remain the nation’s favourite wrap with a 40% market share. By extending our successful range and providing consumers with an exciting, indulgent and convenient new breakfast option we are creating a strong growth opportunity for retailers who should stock up and watch their bakery sales rise!” Mission Deli Breakfast Breads are not just for breakfast either, the company are aiming to extend the sales possibilities by also marketing the new bread as a daytime snack. Apparently hoping to reach out to consumers who enjoy serving afternoon tea, the new fruit bread is also marketing itself as an alternative option to fruit loaf, scones, cakes or biscuits served with tea. The Mission Deli Breakfast Breads are now available now in Morrisons, Asda, Tescos and all other larger supermarkets in a pack of four, priced at £0.99 each. Yey!
