How to Create a Winter Capsule Wardrobe

With winter almost here and the cost of clothing still rising, despite the pre Christmas sales (don’t you find with the sale it’s always the rubbish the stores cannot sell that is up for a price slash!?) I thought it was time to have a bit of a staple wardrobe tutorial. How can you arrange your wardrobe around one single item of clothing? Well, it’s relatively simple; look at the colours in your basic piece, choose something ubiquitous like a dress or suit set that you always wear and pick clothes that match the colours in it but, totally transform the outfit. For instance, with a dress you can wear it as it is and team it with boots or heels with leggings or jeans, pick out a wrap around cardigan or pop a jumper underneath the dress for a different look. And coats and accessories can change the look of a single item, by changing head gear, wrapping a contrasting scarf around or picking out gloves that compliment the outfit can also change the overall look. We have chosen one dress and given it three different looks by teaming it with jeans, leggings, long riding boots and shoes. Which one is your favourite?
