Fashion styles seem to come around every so often and this season the trend appears to be the tribal look again. From tiger striped bangles, leopard spotted hand bags to swimsuits with tribal prints, everything you can imagine on the High Street is now adorned with zig zag coloured strokes.
The tribal look comprises of strong, large shapes, typically a black and white design combined with earthy and orangey tones, think browns, beiges, reds and creams. As these shapes are so often very large and strong, they work best on un-cluttered cuts or outlines, such as tunics or maxi dresses, where the print is the main focus.
This season however, the tribal look is taking a more vibrant twist and using brighter colours such as pinks and purples and fusing them in with the more traditional tribal colours. We’ve taken the best from the High Street and designers range to bring you what is hot in this seasons new fashion trend.

Also from Wallis is this amazing Chocolate Tiger Print Swimsuit, reduced by half price from £28 to £14. Bags have not escaped the tribal print and we love this Black Shopper Zebra Print Bag from River Island, probably our most favourite store to buy handbags from. At £24.99 it is large enough to hold all your essential and big enough to make a fashion statement! Available in store or online at riverisland.com.
A final tip when wearing tribal prints, keep to one item, either a dress or shirt, and team with a neutral colour that flatters or picks out the main colour in the print, otherwise it will look over complicated and too busy.
