If you are planning to go camping or to a festival in the near future, we wish you the best of luck. What with the terrible weather the UK has experienced recently, you’ll need a good tent and a great camping stove.
With this in mind, we have put together a list of eight of the best on the market.
Halfords Portable Gas Stove – was £15 now £10
A cheap stove here that works with a butane gas cartridge that does not come supplied (costs £1.50). Great little stove however for a single person or couple going away for a few days and just want to cook something basic.
From: halfords.comCAMPINGAZ Camping Chef Folding Compact Stove – was £80.00 now £40.00
You can fry, grill and toast with this camping stove, perfect for making breakfast in the morning! And it all folds up into a neat box for easy storage. Works with gas canisters.
From: millets.co.ukColeman FyreStorm Stove – £44.99
Good stove for travellers, it’s lightweight and small enough to fit into a backpack. It has been specifically designed to withstand extremely windy weather and can boil water in no time at all.
From: tesco.comCampingaz Party Grill – £59.99
Cute little stove here that uses a gas bottle and is enough for a couple. You can grill, griddle or pop on a saucepan to boil or heat up food on this versatile stove, which also packs down for easy storage.
From: argos.co.ukAndrew James Electric BBQ – £69.99
Over on the continent lots of campsites do not allow an open fire, so you cannot have a charcoal barbeque, but this is an electric one so you have the best of both worlds. A compact version that travels well, simple connection to an electrical hook up for instant cooking.
Trangia 25-1 GB Stove with Gas Burner & Alloy Pans – £84.99
Old-school pans and burner here suitable for a family or 3-4 people. The gas burner comes with 3 pans, including a frying pan, all made from lightweight aluminium.
From: worldofcamping.co.ukPrimus Onja Duo Stove – £110
This is a little special, apparently a make of this stove went up Everest with Edmund Hillary. We like the carry strap and the lid that doubles up as a chopping board. Runs of a gas canister (supplied) and has two burners.
Campingaz 600 SG Double Burner Stove – was £160.00 now £120.00
The perfect stove for the UK’s windy and wet weather, as it features wind-blocking panels and powerful wind-resistant burners. The burners heat up quickly which means they use less gas and the whole thing folds down for easy travelling.
