It’s a problem that many women suffer with, after pregnancy or as a part of getting older, the tendency for our ‘lady bits’ to go a little loose on us. But an array of specially formulated creams that promise to ‘tighten’ and ‘shrink’ your vaginas, have now become available to purchase in chemists and stores across the U.S., and word is sales are on the increase.
Claiming to make you ‘Feel tight and wanted again!’, the creams work by causing the vaginal walls to swell for a period of time. This happens because of an ingredient, typically found in deodorants, called potassiun alum. In deodorants, alum is used because of its antibacterial properties. These help to stop the spread of bacteria which causes the bad smell associated with body odour. A side effect of alum is the skin swelling.
It is thought that when alum touches the skin’s surface, ions are passed into the cells that lie on the top of the epidermis. As more ions are drawn into the cells, they take water in with them and this causes the cells to expand and swell.
The makers of vaginal swelling creams have used this effect in their products, so that the walls of the vagina become engorged and bigger.
One product, Little Genie Production’s ’18 Again’, priced at $24.99, promises that their vaginal cream will ‘tighten your vagina in five minutes and the effects will last up to 24 hours’.
Other products however, such as Hott Products’ Liquid Virgin, appear to be targeted at men, for the women in their lives. Liquid Virgin costs $6.30 and the blurb on their website states:
‘Make her feel like a virgin all over again with this amazing vaginal contracting lube.’
Hott Products have described the liquid as being ideal for ‘post pregnant women’ or, ‘not so well endowed men.’
Some brands state exactly what it does on the tin. Take for example – ‘Crazy Girl Wanna Be Tight Shrink Cream‘, you really can’t get any more descriptive than that!
Most of these products are available on Amazon, and reviewers have given their feedback and opinions as to how the creams or liquids worked.
One product, IsoSensuals TIGHT Vaginal Tightening Gel seemed to have fared particularly well, with an average of 4.3 stars out of 5 after 202 reviews. This gel is slightly more expensive than the other products featured, retailing at $59.95 plus packaging and shipping.
Comments for Isosensuals include –
- ‘All I can say is WOW! My husband told me to give this product 5 stars!’
- ‘Let me be one of the many to say that this product works amazingly well.’
- ‘You do become tight and stay tight. Worth the money.’
However, not all reviews were positive, with some stating that it simply didnt work, or that it gave them a bladder infection.
I guess it just depends on how much your bits are bothering you and what you are prepared to do about them!
