Choosing A Smartphone with the Best Camera

Some people want a smartphone for the amount of apps they can download, others prefer a smartphone with good email and social media connections, whilst many insist on a great camera. If you are one of the latter, you’ll already know that it’s all about the screen resolution, measured in megapixels (mp) that makes the difference. The higher the mp the better but if you are looking for a smartphone that record videos or ones that are renowned for shooting fabulous pictures in low light (great for concert pictures), then you have to look in more detail. Here are our pick of the bunch:

Nokia 808 PureView Smartphone – £529.98

This smartphone is quite chunky to hold, when you compare it to other thinner versions of smartphones, the pixel count is an incredible 41mp! Simply the highest mp of any smartphone, or indeed SLR camera, on the market today. You can also film in high definition and hi-fi. There’s 1080p Full HD video recording with up to 4 x lossless zoom that’s smooth and completely silent.

It has an 8 mp camera with 3264×2448 pixels, an autofocus, LED flash, additional features are touch-focus, geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization. The main plus points however are the kevlar type material it is made from and the life of the battery.

iPhone 4S Smartphone – £499.00

Still always the smartphone to beat, the iPhone has 8mp and boasts a pristine lens, it is also exceptionally easy to use for those of you who find new technology somewhat tedious. The iSight camera has an A5 chip which is designed with an image signal processor that’s just as good as the ones found in DSLR cameras. The image signal processor makes the iSight camera faster, so you’ll catch all the action as it happens. The camera also uses advanced algorithms in iOS 5 for even more colour accuracy, better white balance and greater dynamic range.
