For fans of Chloé fragrances I’ve got good news and bad news; the good news is that the fashion house is launching a brand new skincare range called Crème de la Rose, the bad news is that it is only available in Japan.
The Crème de la Rose collection contains a serum, a water lotion, an oil and a cream moisturiser and is said to be designed exclusively for the Asian market. The four luxe skincare products are Rose Water Lotion, Centifolia Rose Oil, Centifolia Rose Emulsion and Centifolia Rose Cream and feature the signature Chloé rose scent.
The Crème de la Rose collection is said to be inspired by the fashion house’s first fragrance Chloé, which was launched five years ago, and became an instant success to its unique fresh, floral scent.
Chloé’s signature eau de parfum spray for women contains top notes of peony, freesia and litchi, with middle notes of heart of rose, lily of the valley and Caribbean magnolia, and features smooth base notes of amber and Virginia cedar.
All the skincare products contain a rose hybrid called centifolia, which as well as being renowned for its skin toning properties, is high in powerful antioxidants, and has been designed to moisturise, smooth skin and impart radiance.
And the products in the range are not just add ons to the main Chloé brand. Jean Mortier, who is the president for Coty Prestige, the manufacturer behind Chloé, says: This is not an ancillary play,” Mortier emphasized. “We are launching a well-researched skin-care line.”
While Françoise Mariez, who is the senior vice president of marketing for European licenses at Coty Prestige, told WWD of the Asian market that: “[The collection] allows us to take advantage of the love for the fragrance brand in a market that is primarily driven by skincare,”
For British fans of the iconic scent, there is no news of a UK launch, but we can reveal that Chloé are intending to add more products to the skincare range with the Asian market.
