Sporting a fabulous new blonde hair do, Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas has released her third fragrance for Avon, called Viva. It follows her hugely successful previous forays into the perfume industry – her first perfume for Avon called Outspoken and the second – Outspoken Intense. Fergie, full name Stacy Ann Ferguson, is seen in her promotional photo shoots wearing a super sexy tight fitting bodycon dress made from black leather and lace, teamed with a white blazer.
Fergie says about her latest scent for Avon: “Viva is a fresh and unexpected fragrance that brings out the duality of a woman. Powerful, yet seductive, and living life by her own rules.” The Viva perfume is described as being floral and fresh with captivating blends of cool herbs, hints of mint, fierce lavender and intriguing vetiver. Customers who have bought the perfume say it is a long lasting scent that is seductive and musky.
Fergie’s first perfume for Avon, Outspoken, was a best seller in 2010 and was followed up by Outspoken Intense in 2011. Fergie spoke about the concept for creating Outspoken Intense: “It’s about that intense feeling I get before going on stage. That moment of adrenaline and being fearless.”
Fergie found fame and fortune as a member of the children’s television series Kids Incorporated and the girl group Wild Orchid. She left Wild Orchid in 2001 and joined The Black Eyed Peas. With The Black Eyed Peas she enjoyed a series of hits and albums before releasing her debut album The Dutchess, in September 2006, to success. The Black Eyed Peas enjoyed further success with the release of their third album with Ferguson, The E.N.D.; they attained their first string of Billboard Hot 100 number one songs.
She continued success with The Black Eyed Peas and they released the album The Beginning in November 2010, which featured three singles, including two number one songs. Fergie is married to actor Josh Duhamel, who stars in Life As We Know It. Their marriage hit a troubled time when Duhamel was accused of having an affair with an Atlanta stripper. The affair was publicly denied by Duhamel and Fergie spoke about the issue in an interview with Oprah Winfrey: “When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership. It does for us, anyways. Our love today is a deeper love, definitely,” Fergie added. “We’re stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that’s happened with us. We deal with it, we communicate; communicating’s the most important thing.”
Viva by Fergie is available from Avon and costs £15 for a 50ml bottle.
