Gin lovers rejoice, now you can get your favourite tipple with a twist. The new breed of gins are flavoured and they are a taste sensation. There’s everything from blood orange, plum, to chocolate and sherbet. We think these flavoured gins will be amazing in cocktails for a summer party. Here are our favourites:
Zesty notes of the citrus blood orange are married with juniper berries. This flavoured gin was created by the master distiller – Desmond Payne.
This gin is flavoured with florals including orange blossom and subtle spices to give a more fragrant, exotic and ripe mellowness to the taste.
Warner Edwards’ Rhubarb Gin uses pure rhubarb in a third of every bottle. The rhubarb is pressed to release the maximum amount of flavour which you can taste in each mouthful.
Only the juiciest plums end up in this gin which are then macerated and mixed with the finest Madagascan vanilla. This is added to the gin which gives it a wonderfully velvety-smooth and marzipan-like finish.
Hepple gin is made with unripe juniper berries which give it a fresher taste. It also contains blackcurrant, Douglas fir, lovage, fennel seeds and liquorice.
Refreshing and zingy, this is the perfect flavoured gin for a summer’s day. Just add a twist of lemon and tonic to balance the sweetness.
We finish with this amazing flavoured gin which is made using spit-roasted pineapples which have been smothered in demerara sugar. This gives them a caramelised taste which counteracts the acidity of the fruit. The result is a rich, almost liqueur-like taste.
