ASOS is well-known for their affordable and fashionable clothes, but now they are venturing into make-up, and launching their very own collection.
ASOS Face & Body are keeping with their tradition of offering affordable products as their make-up products start from just £5 with the most expensive item retailing at £10.
ASOS already stock trendy make-up brands such as Stila, Nars, Benefit, and Barry M, but the online store want to target a specific market.
ASOS state that they want to “empower 20-somethings to confidently be themselves, however they choose to do so”.
The ASOS Face & Body range includes 46 highly pigmented shades spanning different products such as liquid lip products, matte lipstick shades, contouring palettes, eyeshadows, lip and eye pencil liners, and highlighting sticks.
The British brand have said that the 26 new products are all designed to help you stand out from the crowds, so don’t expect to see foundation or cover-up sticks in this collection. To highlight this the brand has launched the ASOS Face + Body art campaign.
ASOS are promoting the ASOS Face & Body range in quite an unusual way by showing photographs of people using their make-up products in ways you would not usually use, such as drawing on faces and using red lip liner on eyebrows.
A statement on their website said: “We believe your face and body are a canvas, an adventure in individual self-expression, an opportunity to experiment and play.
ASOS has also been quite creative when naming the shades of their new products, with each one reflecting what we are feeling on the inside:
“As such, each shade is supposed to reflect who we are and how we’re feeling – from ‘Overqualified’ and ‘Decisive’ to ‘Current Mood’ and ‘Uncompromising’.”
As well as the unique and rich pigmented shades, we also love the packaging, in a candyfloss pink complete with simple black line drawings of eyelashes, lips or faces to denote what the product has inside.
The products are advertised as ‘gender neutral’ and will be available online from 20 September, with more products launching in January 2018.
