9 of the Best Facial Scrubs for Oily Skin

I have always had problems with spots so I must have tried dozens of facial scrubs for oily skin. Some worked better than others but there are a few that I definitely go back to. Here’s 9 of the best:

Pai Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator – 75ml, £28.00

facial scrub

I was bought this as a Christmas present and now ask for it every year. It uses jojoba beads and has all natural ingredients which are perfect for sensitive skin. It makes my dull skin look much brighter as it gently exfoliates dead cells and nourishes without adding more oil. A real treat.

St. Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub – 150ml, £3.50

facial scrub

This has the most gorgeous smell of fresh apricots you’ll want to eat it. What I like the most about it is that you can see the natural ingredients in the scrub. There are crushed walnut shells that have been milled to the finest powder, and corn kernels combined with apricot extract. It smells so good I leave this on for ages.

Bioré Charcoal Anti-Blemish Scrub – 127g, £4.99

facial scrub

I’m using this at the moment because I’d heard a lot about the healing qualities of charcoal. When my skin is very bad I turn to more clinical facial scrubs that include antiseptic ingredients. This one tingles when I apply it which makes me think it is working more. The scrubbing beads looked like plastic but I assure you they’re not, I know because I emailed the company!

Amie New Leaf Exfoliating Polish – 100ml, £5.95

facial scrub

Another one of my favourite facial scrubs because of the smell. This one doesn’t contain apricots but it smells like it should do. Instead, there are mango and orange blossom extract and all natural ingredients with no nasty parabens, sulphates, mineral oils or petrochemicals. I use this when my skin is clearer and I don’t need such a strong cleanser. Suitable for vegans.

Dr Organic Rose Otto Face Scrub – 125ml, £7.99

facial scrub

This scrub contains volcanic lava which soaks up excess oil and corn cob powder for exfoliating the skin. It also has ground fruit seeds which tone and nourish your face without stripping it of the natural oils.

NIVEA Gentle Exfoliating Face Scrub, 150ml, £3.99

facial scrub

If your skin is oily but sensitive it can be really problematic finding the right facial scrub. I have months when it seems that anything I put on my face is just too strong. Until I found this one from Nivea. Gentle but effective, it is lovely and refined and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Benefit Smooth It Off! Cleansing Exfoliator – 127.5g, £20.50

facial scrub

This is another scrub that uses jojoba beans for the scrubbing agent to clean and exfoliate without causing the skin to dry out. It will clean off makeup and dirt and then moisturise at the same time. Great 2 in 1 purchase. It is expensive but you only need a small amount and there’s no need for a separate moisturiser.

Burt’s Bees Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub – 110g, £7.29

facial scrub

Containing 99.9% all natural ingredients, this is a good exfoliator and cleanser. It contains ground peach stones for the scrubbing agent and natural willow bark extract for the cleaning properties. Contains no parabens, phthalates or petrolatum.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Face Scrub – 150ml, £4.00

facial scrub

For a fresher way to start your day, try this refreshing pink grapefruit scrub. It contains natural scrubbing beads that unclog pores and help stop spot breakouts but without drying out your skin.
