But of course we are all aware that Nike made shoes but few know that Nike also makes socks. The Nike Elite Socks are now prevalent on so many feet that it’s difficult to know just how many are simply happy to be wearing them with their Nike shoes.  These socks are made for just about everyone and for anything.

For instance you can find these specialty socks for both men and women, as well as for all manner of sports. For example, there are basketball socks, running socks, and soccer socks. There are tons of product styles too. Let’s say that there are 21 different kinds of crew socks, 5 different kinds of knee-high socks, 3 different kinds of low-cut socks, 3 kinds of what are called no-show socks, 6 assorted quarter socks, and an incredible 19 different kinds of uniform socks.  Then too there are the colors. You can have white socks, red socks, orange socks, green socks, dark blue socks, purple socks, black socks and of course you could also have grey socks.

If one were to take a look at some of the specialty socks, one would find that these are just not your average of the mill socks. For example if one were to take a look at the Nike Elite socks for basketball, the first thing that one would learn about them is that they have been especially designed for the specific sport of basketball. That means that they have special cushioning wherever the foot is most susceptible to injury as well as to impact. In addition, they will keep the player’s foot comfortable and dry due to its special fabric construction called Dri-FIT. It has been engineered to literally wick sweat away. The very top of the sock is created to ensure a snug fit with added especially thick ribbed cuffs, and there is a special arch support in each sock as well which gives the player additional stability on the court. Also, each of these socks has ankle and Achilles heel cushioning. That ensures that there will be no rubbing irritations ever, and that the pressure points found on the sole of the foot are also protected.  This does mean though that there is a correct way to put these on, as they are right and left specific.  Those socks are so very special that they are made of 63% polyester which is the highest percentage. That is followed by 21% nylon, and then 15% cotton as well as 2%spandex.  Again their superiority can only be emphasized by the fact that they are actually imported.

Moving ahead now to the Nike Elite socks especially constructed for runners.  Runners need three separate levels of cushioning in order to soften the impact felt on the foot when running. Thus, you will note that the toe section of the sock has been especially contoured around the toes so that there is a much less bulky feel to the toe area of the sock. Supportive fit is expressly necessary, thus there is a special arch compression in each sock. Finally, lightweight breathability is assured via the ventilated mesh construction.  These are also imported, but they are made differently in that they are 39% polyester, followed by 60% nylon and only 1% spandex.

The Nike Elite sock for soccer is different too. It not only has the arch bridge compression, the anatomical right and left fit, but also has a reinforced toe and heel so that durability becomes enhanced. Its specific makeup is 74% nylon, followed by 21% polyester, then 4% spandex and finally 1% cotton. It too is imported.
