Michael Kors Watches

Known mostly for having designed women’s American sportswear, Michael Kos is basically a fashion designer. An American, he was born in August, 1959 and eventually chose the name of Michael Kors, though he was born Karl Anderson, Jr. His mother was a former model, and his father was a college student. His mother was Jewish, but his father, who accounts for Kor’s blonde looks, was of Swedish descent.  Today he lives in New York City and is wed to his longtime partner named Lance LePere.

Since 1981 Michael Kors’ designs for fashion womenswear have sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman, and of course Bloomingdale’s. But as a fashion designer, he longed to launch his own brand, which he did in 2003. Currently he designs not only ready-to-wear apparel, but also footwear, jeans, and watches, as well as many other accessories.  His boutiques sell his lines in Chicago, Manhasset, Palm Beach, and Beverly Hills and of course his home city of New York.

There are many celebrities who love his designs, such as Heidi Klum, Elissa, Michelle Obama, Rachel McAdams, and Jennifer Lopez. When Joan Allen was nominated for an Academy award, she wore one of his creations. Jennifer Gardner presented in one of his custom creations for the 2006 Academy Awards, and his creations have appeared in movies too such as Possession, Bandits, and The Thomas Crown Affair remake. Carmen Kass appears to be his favorite model for his jet-set sportswear.

But now he has designed Michael Kors watches, all manner of Michael Kors watches, for both men and women of course. His watches are sometime eclectic, at times grandiose, and at other times the epitome of gracefulness and class. They are all of extremely high quality and naturally they are extremely fashionable. What Michael Kors has done is to categorize his watches. For example there are the Ceramic & Silicone watches, the Michael Kors Glitz Watches, the Michael Kors Golden Watches, The Michael Kors Leather Watches, The Michael Kors Men Watches, The Michael Kors Rose Golden Watches, The Michael Kors Silver Watches, and finally the Michael Kors Tortoise & Horn Watches. But in addition to all those collections of watches, he has also created some very unique and special watches. Some are made of leather, mother of pearl, and handsome metals, and those features are all incorporated in his watches. .

Examples are the Espresso Michael Kors Mid-Size Bradshaw Chronograph Watch, as well as the Michael Kors White Silicone Oversized Drake Chronograph Watch. However in a stroke of genius, he also designed a Michael Kors watches called the Boyfriend Watch.  Granted that the name of the watch suggests that the female has obviously borrowed her boyfriend’s watch, however he has commented that it’s not just to be worn when she has a pair of jeans on.  Just the reverse is true, as the watch comes with a vast assortment of straps and bands.  It is told that such a watch can be dressed down or dressed up. The Boyfriend Watch is great for the office, out with the girls, to the movies, or even out on a dinner date, it is a watch for all levels.
