From TOWIE To TESCO: Amy Childs Promotes New Fake Tan Range

What can I tell you about Amy Childs? No seriously, what can I tell you? I have 500 plus words to write this article on her and her new fake tan range and I fear I shall run out at around 50. Well, let’s start at the start and pretend that you have been living amongst tribeswomen of the outer Mongolia for the last year and know nowt about her. Allow me to introduce you to the latest reality star – 21 year old Amy Childs, hailing from Brentwood, she is an original member of the huge TV hit show The Only Way Is Essex where her natural kooky persona shone out. Coining phrases such as “Wel Jel” and “Shut Up!”, she became the shows biggest star, introducing us to the little known luxury beauty product of a vajazzle (I must get one), and before she was typecast in her own role as herself, she left the Essex show and appeared in Celebrity Big Brother where she came a credible fourth in the final. Not bad for a relative unknown a year ago. And she even beat hot favourites Jedward!

She then went onto star in her very own show ‘It’s All About Amy’ where a film crew followed her around whilst she opened her own beauty salon. Episodes featured her puppy called Prince Childs (inspired!) getting his wardrobe sorted out, or being ‘pimped’ as Amy called it. Since then Amy has launched her clothing range in which she debuted by wearing pieces herself and strutting the cat walk. And she even has a bra range out for her new best friends Tescos which we featured here on Shoppersbase a year ago. The clothing collection has been a huge success but now if you want to look even more like Ms Childs, i.e. Her distinctly american tanned colour well you are in luck. For the object of this atricle is about to be revealed. Amy has now got her own tanning range called Amy Childs Up Tan Gal (geddit?) Instant Self-Tan Mousse. You can buy it from her own website or you can get it a little cheaper for around £17.95 at Tescos.

The fake tan is light weight and an instant colour self tan mousse which smells like strawberries and cream, according to the blurb so that makes a nice change from the biscuity scent most self tanning lotions smell like. And Amy was out and about promoting it at Tescos in Stoke-on-Trent earlier today, wearing a bright pink tee shirt emblazoned with ‘OMG’, another one of her famous phrases and pink matching platforms and denims. Looking well made up as she spoke to her fans, she is going to be touring the UK and visiting many Tescos this week to drum up trade for her new tanning products. As most stars who have something to sell and promote she took Twitter to inform her fans that she was, ‘At Longton Tesco in Stoke now every one is so nice here can’t wait to meet you all signing my tan today xxx.’ Good luck to the Brentwood Girl we say!
